A 10.9km (6.8mi) ride along the Coventry Canal, starting from Lock 5, Atherstone, and ending at Bridge 20, Bull Ring, Nuneaton.

Route:

This is an easy one – just follow the canal. Note that the route is rough for a significant proportion and features a mix of dirt track and gravel path, and broken tarmac with lots of potholes.

This isn’t a fast route, but it’s a pleasant one through the North Warwickshire countryside, with plenty of activity on the canal both in terms of walkers, joggers and cyclists on the tow path, and, of course, canal boats on the water.
