Weddington Road Cycle Scheme

As part of the Nuneaton Town Investment Plan, there is an early stage project to provide separated high quality cycling provision along approximately 0.9km (0.6 miles) of the A444 Weddington Road. The scheme would run from the Leicester Road junction at the south, to Brook Lane to the north, and will provide a useful (if short) main road link for

Junction “Improvements” in Whitestone, Nuneaton

Recently, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council approved plans to build a large new housing development of 621 dwellings in the Whitestone area of Nuneaton – a ward at the south of the town. One major concern about this development is the impact it will have on an already congested local road network, and to that end, a junction redesign is

Active Travel on a Proposed New Residential Development (Sketchley Gardens)

There’s a proposal to build a new housing estate in east Nuneaton, in farmland off Eastboro Way. As it stands, there are a number of improvement points to make it good for active travel, and given this is a brand new development, it makes sense to get it right from the start rather than retrofitting measures at a later date,

Major Changes for Nuneaton’s Ring Road Lack Vision

News broke today about Warwickshire County Council’s plans for alterations to Nuneaton’s short ring road as part of the Transforming Nuneaton project. Changes include the removal of a roundabout, road widening, junction alteration, and the removal of the one-way system around the station. Major changes to this road are needed – but as they stand, they fall short of the
